PURPOSE:To eliminate errors even if a multiplying circuit is used in a multilevel logic system, by outputting the multiplication result of the multiplying circuit, which consists of MOSFETs and floating switches and is operated in the current mode, as currents indicating a carrier C and a product P. CONSTITUTION:The first current distributing circuit 120 generates (r-1)-number of currents having a value equal to the first input current which indicates one value (x) to be multiplied [(r) is a radix), and floating switches 51a-51c are connected to the output side. The second current distributing circuit 53 generates (r-1)-number of currents having a value equal to the second input current which indicates the other value (y) to be multiplied. Current sources 50a-50c generate currents indicating plural thresholds, and these currents are compared with the current outputted from the second current distributing circuit to control turning-on/off of floating switches. Values (x) and (y) outputted from nodes are divided by (r) in a dividing circuit to generate currents indicating the carrier and the product. |
