PURPOSE:To prevent data before link break from being transmitted after resetting, by adding a number to a link and designating the link number by a data processing part before data transmission request and making the link number before link resetting different from that after link resetting. CONSTITUTION:A system consists of two subsystems 12 and 13 and a transmission line 14 connecting them. Each subsystem consists of a data processing part, a data transmitting part, and an interface part between these parts. The data processing part issues a link setting request 601 to the data transmitting part. The data transmitting part issues a link set report 604 to the data processing part after setting the link by transmission and reception of a link setting command 602 and a link set response 603 to and from the data processing part of the subsystem of the other party. At this time, a link number N is added to the link set report 604. Hereafter, the given link number is added when the data processing part issues a data transmission request 605 to the data transmitting part.
