摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of initial setting and the quality of a rolled product by calculating the estimated crown value on the outlet side in previous pass rolling in accordance with the actual record of the previous pass rolling and setting the optimum crown value in the succeeding pass rolling by learning therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The actually measured shape value of a rolling material 1 is determined by a shape detector 2 provided on the outlet side of a reversible rolling mill. The actually measured value of load and the actual record value of the manipulated vairable for rolling are determined by a rolling load detector 10, etc. The estimated crown value on the outlet side in the previous pass rolling is calculated in accordance with such actual record of the rolling in the previous pass. The equation for predicting the crown is learned by a device 8 for learning the equation for predicting the crown from the estimated value and the initial setting of the succeeding pass is executed. The accuracy of the initial setting in the backward rolling is thus improved and the quality of the rolled product is improved.</p>
