PURPOSE:To provide a brake amount indicator which may ensure a safe travel, by successively turning on indicator segments in response to a brake depression degree sensor which issues a signal in accordance with the depression amount of the brake. CONSTITUTION:A brake depression degree sensor 1 composed of limit switches 1a-1d closes the switches 1a-1d, successively in the mentioned order in accordance with the depression amount of a pedal section 3b. These limit switches 1a-1d are connected at their one end with light sources 2a-2d, as elements constituting an indicator 2, in series, respectively, and are connected at the other end commonly to the positive electrode of a battery 8.. With this arrangement, the limit switches 1a-1d which are opened during no use of a foot brake 3, are successively closed from the small one to the large one in accordance with the depression degree of the brake. Accordingly, the light sources 2a-2d connected in series with to the switches 1a-1d, are successively turned on from the small one to the large one in the mentioned order in accordance with the depression degree of the brake so that the number of the illuminating light sources is increased, accordingly. |
