PURPOSE:To prevent a deterioration of an optical property due to a crack and a stain by adhering a protective transparent plastic film via an adhesives on an opposite surface to the surface of the semi-transmission type reflective film which adheres the polarizing film. CONSTITUTION:A foam type resin such as a foamed polypropylene or polysty rene having an excellent optical property is used as the semi-transmission reflec tive film 13. The protective transparent plastic film 19 composed of a polyester and a polycarbonate is adhered via the adhesives 18 on the opposite surface of the surface of said film 13 which adheres the polarizing film 11. When the liquid crystal display apparatus is prepared by adhering the liquid display ele ment 1 with the semi-transmission type polarizing plate 17, said polarizing plate 17 is adhered to the substrate 5 of an under side electrode of the liquid crystal display element 1 via the adhesives 10 by peeling off a surface lubricant paper 16. As the protective transparent plastic film 19 is adhered to the semi- transmission type reflective film 13 with the adhesives 18, the title plate having a less tendency for generating the crack and the stain during a handling, and also having the stable optical property is obtd.
