<p>PURPOSE:To enable to accurately detect the current running on the primary conductor with a small error using a secondary winding by a method wherein the length of one side face of the cross section of the second winding is formed longer than the length of one end face in the direction at right angle to the side face, and said side face and the end face are arranged in such a manner that they are brought to come in contact with each other on the outer and the inner circumferential surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A current transformer 1 has a hollow part 5, wherein the primary conductor 4 having an insulating layer 3 in an annular iron core 2 is inserted, and the second winding 6 is wound around the annular iron core 2. When the round-shaped conductor 8 wound around a bobbin 7 passed through between a pair of pressing rollers 9, the second winding 6 formed into an oval-shaped conductor 10, and it is wound around the annular iron core 2. The length l1 of one side face 11A of the crossection of the oval conductor 10 is formed longer than the length l2 of the end face 11B in the direction at right angle to the side face 11A. When the oval conductor 10 is wound around the annular iron core 2, the second winging 6 is formed by winding around the oval conductor 10 in such a manner that the side face 11A and the end face 11B are brought to come in contact with the outer circumferential surface 2A and the inner circumferential surface 2B of the annular iron core 2.</p> |
