PURPOSE:To obtain a suitable performance for an engine only by replacing an exhaust gas pipe with another one, by providing such an arrangement that the exhaust pipe which is formed separately from a casing mounted on an internal combustion engine, is made to be removable, and a labyrinth which communicates the expansion chamber of the exhaust pipe with the exhaust gas hole side of the casing is formed in the side wall of the exhaust pipe. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe 24 is disposed in an expansion chamber 22 for expanding exhaust gas to attenuate the same, that is, the flange section of the exhaust pipe is made to abut against the lower surface of an exhaust gas guide 9 and is removably attached thereto by fastening bolts. Further, the exhaust pipe 24 is formed in its side wall 27 with an exhaust passage 28 communicating an exhaust passage 17 in the exhaust gas guide 9 with the expansion chamber 22. Further, a labyrinth 29 is formed in the side wall 27 of the exhaust passage 28 to communicate the expansion chamber 22 with a first expansion chamber 18 in the exhaust guide 9. This labyrinth 29 is composed of a linear section 29a which communicates with the expansion chamber 22 and extends from the lower side to the upper side of the side wall 2, a linear section 29 which is curved in its upper part and extends downward, and a linear section 29c which is curved in its lower part and communicates with the first expansion chamber 18. |
