PURPOSE:To obtain a paper separating mechanism having a compact structure and excellent operability by a method in which left- and right-handed two units are made up of paper supply rollers, a paper separating mechanism, and a paper side plate and driven in a bilaterally slidable manner in the relation to the paper supply base to hold the units. CONSTITUTION:A paper separating mechanism is made up of a paper supply rotator consisting of paper supply rollers 29L and 29R, a paper supply base 19, and left- and right-handed two separating mechanism units composed of a side plate 21, a separating claw 22, a separating lever 23, a shaft 24 as the rotating center of the lever 23, and a paper guide 25. The base 19 is freely turned around the shaft 16 by a set lever 18. When paper is put in or sent out of a hopper consisting of side plates 21L and 21R, the set lever 18 is operated by opening and closing actions. Since the separating mechanism unit is provided to the base 19 in a bilaterally slidable manner, papers of different sizes can be easily set or separated and also matched. |
