PURPOSE:To express a stereoscopic picture easily and with a simple constitution by separating two odd and even fields respectively into different polarizing videos by respective polarizing films provided at the front surface of the screen. CONSTITUTION:At the fluorescent screen scanned by an odd field 1 at all times, a longitudinal stripe polarizing film 4 is provided in the stripe-shaped manner, and on the other hand, at the fluorescent screen scanned by an even field 2 at all times, a horizontal stripe polarizing film 3 is provided in the stripe-shaped manner, and the fluorescent screen is completely covered with respective polarizing film stripes 16. Through the polarizing films 16, the video of the odd field 1 is always modulated as a longitudinal polarizing video, and the video of the even field 2 is always modulated as a horizontal polarizing video, and two polarizing videos exist simultaneously on the same screen. The synthesized video is respectively individually recognized to the right and left eyes through the polarizing glass, and thus, the stereoscopic picture is displayed. |
