PURPOSE:To prevent an original from damaging even in high speed processing by switching the speed of a conveyor belt to a slow speed right before the front end of an original reaches a stopper. CONSTITUTION:The conveyor belt 1 which is actuated on the start of an automatic original feeding device and driven at a high-speed V1 and an original sent out of a paper feed part 11 is conveyed by the conveyor belt 1 at the speed V1 and when the front end of the original is moved about 100mm in front of the stopper 2, the rotating speed is reduced to the slow speed V2; and the rotation of a DC motor 5 is stopped an extremely short time after the front end of the original abuts on the stopper 2 at the speed V2 to stop the conveyor belt 1. Then, specific exposure processing, etc., are performed for the stopped original and the conveyor belt 1 is actuated again and driven at the high speed V1. |
