<p>PURPOSE:To improve key manouvability by so arranging that, when an input mode is designated by a display key displayed on a screen, display is mode of a key symbol related to the designated input mode by automatic switching. CONSTITUTION:In a dot matrix liquid crystal display device, a key symbol display area 26 is an area for displaying the key symbol which changes over respective input modes. When the key symbol is abutted by a stylus pen, the pattern display of the autted portion is inverted in monochromatic color. The key symbol displayed in a key symbol display are 27 is switched to the key symbol related to the mode at every time the input mode is changed. In a usual mode, the key symbol shown in the picture is displayed in the area 27 of the picture. When the alphabetic key symbol is indicated by the stylus pen the flag indicating the alphabetic input mode is set and the key symbol related to the alphabetic input mode is displayed in the area 27.</p> |
