PURPOSE:To stop the operation of a receiving and a transmitting circuit securely by turning off a power source when the detected voltage of a source voltage detecting circuit drops to a preset voltage. CONSTITUTION:When the A-side power source 30 of an optical data link device 10 is turned off, the falling of a source voltage V is as shown by the curve in a figure (a) in the absence of the source voltage detecting circuit 12 and a switch 13, but the source voltage detecting circuit 12 and switch 13 are added to operate the switch 13 securely with an optional set voltage Vs as shown in a figure (b) and cutting off the source voltage V, thereby preventing the transmitting circuit 6 from malfunctioning. Further, the source voltage detecting circuit 12 turns on the switch 13 with the preset voltage Vs even during the rising of the source voltage as shown in a figure (c).
