PURPOSE:To prevent the falling or bending of a steel sheet pile when being driven into the ground by a method in which a steel sheet pile buried to an extent that it can stand by itself is held by a connector attached to connected steel sheet piles, and under the guidance of the steel sheet pile, the connected steel sheet piles are temporarily buried and set. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet pile 1 is temporarily buried in place to a depth at which it can stand by itself. When U-shaped fitting parts 30 and 31 are inserted into the lower end portion of a steel sheet pile 2 lifted for connection, the saw- tooth 38 of an eccentric fan-shaped part 37 is cut into the steel sheet pile 2 under the weight of a weight 41 and a connector 10 is fixed to the lower part of the steel sheet pile. Under the condition, the steel sheet pile 1 is held in a vertically movable manner by the straight portion 17 and the bent portion 18 of the connector 10, where the holding power is given by a weight 20 hung down from a rope 19 passed through the hole 21. When the steel sheet pile 2 is driven through the connector 10 under the guidance of the steel sheet pile 1, each weight is dropped on the ground surface and the connector 10 can be easily removed. If all steel sheet piles could be temporarily set, they could be driven to a given depth. |
