PURPOSE:To make it possible to draw a two-dimensional image without moving a head or a recording body, by providing two sets or more of deflection electrodes to the circumference of an ink droplet stream and enabling the deflection of ink droplets to all directions. CONSTITUTION:A deflection electrode 7y in a y-direction (vertical direction) and a deflection electrode 7x in an x-direction (horizontal direction) are provided and a gutter 9 is formed into a horseshoe shape. When the polarity of charge to be applied is set to (+), a drawing (e) shows such a case that voltage is applied only to the y-direction and the charged stream of ink droplets is changed to make it possible to draw a straight line P. Voltage in the x-direction and that in the y-direction are successively changed as shown by drawings (f)-(i) to make it possible to draw each straight line P as shown by the drawings (f)-(i) of Fig (C) and, at last, the entire surface of an area S can be drawn. When the polarity of charge is made reverse to that of the voltage in the y-direction and charge quantity is made larger than necessary charge quantity in a printing part, ink dots not printed are collected to either one of left and right parts by the polarity of voltage as shown by the drawing (a)-(d) of Fig (D). As mentioned above, a two-dimensional image can be drawn without moving a recording body and a head. |
