PURPOSE:To perform a continuous feeding by a vertical feeding apparatus for earth and sad or the like by providing a vertically reciprocative and rotatable auger in a vertical casing such that, when moved downward, the auger is screwed into the earth and sand or the like filled while the auger is raised and then the auger is raised while carrying the earth and sand or the like. CONSTITUTION:Earth and sand or the like in a hopper 18 are supplied to and filled in the lower portion of the body 1 of a vertical feeding apparatus by a feeding auger 21. Another auger 9 is lowered by retracting rods 11a of a elevating jack 11 by the full thereof. The auger 9 is moved downward while being rotated by screws 13 and 8a and screwed into the earth and sand as stored by said full stroke. Then the auger 9 is lifted by the elevating jack 11 and, at the same time, the lower portion of the body 1 is filled with the earth and sand by the feeding auger 21. The repeat of these operations enables continuous feeding of the earth and sand or the like. |
