PURPOSE:To adjust error of a control quantity accompanied by idle opening adjustment, by controlling an engine according to a throttle valve opening rate detected by equally dividing a throttle sensor output corresponding to an idle and full opening. CONSTITUTION:An opening angle of a throttle valve 3 in an engine 1 is detected by a throttle sensor 13, and an idle and full opening are detected by an idle switch 11 and a full opening switch 12, respectively. Then, ECU18 detects outputs from the throttle sensor 13 according to the idle and full opening, and computes an opening rate of the throttle valve 3 corresponding to an arbitral output from the throttle sensor 13 according to these outputs. Then the ECU18 computes a fundamental fuel injection quantity according to the opening rate and an engine rotational speed obtained by an output from a crank angle sensor 14, and then adds an idling fuel injection quantity to the fundamental fuel injection quantity to thereby obtain a final fuel injection quantity. Further, if a change in the output from the throttle sensor 13 is detected at idling, the idling fuel injection quantity is corrected.
