PURPOSE:To maintain a temperature rise in a heating resistor to be constant and enable to obtain recorded images with constantly appropriate density, by transferring correction printing data signals to a recording head to generate a correction printing pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:Bit signals in which the current line data are black are inputted from a printing data transfer controlling circuit 317 into a thermal recording head 1 through a selector 311, and then a printing pulse generating signal is impressed, thereby recording. Further, bit signals in which the preceding line is white and the current line is black are inputted from an AND gate 309 into the head 1 through the selector 311, and a correction printing pulse generating signal is impressed, thereby recording while superimposing only these bits. Accordingly, by providing a correction printing data transfer controlling means and a correction printing pulse generating means, temperature rise in the heating resistor can be maintained to be constant even where the printing period is about several times of the pulse width of printing pulse signals, and recording can be constantly performed with an appropriate density. |
