PURPOSE:To obtain the titled optical recording medium having a long service life and wherein the deterioration of C/N and BER (bit error rate) is prevented by providing an org. material-metal composite film between a resinous substrate and an optical recording layer whose optical characteristic or geometrical shape is changed by the irradiation of light. CONSTITUTION:An org. material-metal composite film 3 contg. 1 kind among polytetrafluoroethylene, polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate and epoxy and >=1 kind among Al, Zn, Sb, Ir, Au, Ag, Se, Cu and Mg is formed on the surface of a resinous substrate 1 of one among polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate and epoxy by simultaneous vapor deposition and sputtering so that the volume ratio of the metal in the film is regulated to <=50%. Then a photoelectromagnetic recording layer 2 is formed on the film 3. A protective film 4 of Al, etc. is subsequently formed on the recording layer 2. A disk having a long service life without generation of cracks and pinholes and without the deterioration of C/N and BER is thus obtained even by using the resinous substrate 1. |
