METHOD FOR PREPARING HIGH LUMINANCE REFLECTIVE PAINTED PLATE AND PAINTING APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING SAID METHOD

PURPOSE:To enable the mass production of a high luminance reflective painted plate excellent in weatherability and corrosion resistance, by applying under coating and top coating to a strip plate material during running by a roll coater type painting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A transparent paint having an aluminum powder mixed therein is applied to a metal plate 11 windable in a coil form as an under coat and baked. Next, a top coat 3 having glass beads mixed therein is supplied between an applicator roll 12 and a doctor roll 13 from the direction shown by an arrow B while the metal plate 11 is transferred at a predetermined speed by a running means constituted as a winding apparatus and applied onto the under coat of the metal plate 11 from the gap between both rolls with the rotation of the applicator roll 12. By this method, a high luminance reflective painted plate having glass beads compounded therein uniformly can be prepared inexpensively.
