PURPOSE:To obtain a photopolymn. initiator system giving a photopolymerizabe compsn. high in sensitivity by using a specified heterocyclic thiol compd. together with the photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:The photopolymerizable compsn. consists of a compd. capable of addition polymn. contg. >=2 ethylenical unsatd. bonds in the molecule, a photopolymn. initiator or its system, one of 2-mercapto-5-substd.-thiadiazole compd. represented by formulae I in which R is alkyl, aralkyl, alkylthio, or aralkylthio, and R' is optionally substd. alkylene. As a result, this photopolymerizable compsn. has high photosensitivity, superior flexibility at the time of film formation, and superior adhesion between the film and a substrate, easy resist peelability, and reproducibility high in fidelity to an original image, and high resolution can be obtained.
