DIESEL ENGINE WITH SWIRL CHAMBER

PURPOSE:To reduce production and discharge of smoke due to incomplete combustion by providing a space having a guide face inclining downward from a main injection port toward main combustion chamber on the bottom of sub- nozzle hole. CONSTITUTION:Main injection hole 17 communicates between a swirl chamber 3 and main combustion chamber 15. While sub-injection hole 19 having the upper section opening to the swirl chamber 3 and the bottom section opening to a main combustion chamber 15 is provided. A space section 21 having a guide face inclining downward from a main nozzle hole 17 toward the main combustion chamber 15 is provided on the bottom section of sub-nozzle hole 19. The atomized injected through a nozzle hole 7 of an injection valve 5 is converted into atmized fuel flow by the forced spiral flow fed through the main nozzle hole 17. A portion of said flow is fed through sub-nozzle hole 19 into the main combustion chamber 15. then it is burnt completely in the cavity section. Consequently, the production and discharge of smoke due to incomplete combustion can be reduced considerably.
