PURPOSE:The title antibody that is produced by a hybridoma from mouse myelloma and mouse lymphocytes immunized with an antibody containing ochratoxin A (OTA) as a hapten, thus specifically reacing with a specific ochratoxin. CONSTITUTION:For example, OTA obtained by isolating from a culture mixture of Aspergillus ochraceus and purifying is allowed bind with a protein such as bovine serum albumen by the carbodiimide method to prepare an antigen, which is mixed with Freund's complete adjuvant to form an emulsion. Then, the emulsion is intraperitoneally given to Balb/c mice to effect immunization. One to three weeks later, additional immunization is effected and mouse spleens are removed 3 days after the final immunization and spleen lymphocytes are separated. The lymphocytes are fused with an 8-azaguanine-resistant myelloma, SP2/O-Ag 14 and cloned to give a hybridoma producing anti-OTA antibody. The resultant hybridoma is cultured to give the objective antibody from the supernatant.
