PURPOSE:To execute easily and exactly minute moving, zooming, focusing, etc., of a subject to be driven without a bacterium by approaching a finger, etc., to the surface of a steromicroscope, etc., or a non-contact type switch installed in the vicinity of the steromicroscope and controlling a drive source by means of a control part in accordance with a signal detected by said switch. CONSTITUTION:Each lock screw 3 is loosened to move vertically and expand appropriately an articulated arm member 3 along a stand column 3, and an XY jogging device 4 is appropriately rotated. After the observation optical axis of a microscope main body 6 and an operating distance are roughly matched to an observation member, each joint part and sliding part are fixed by a lock screw 8 if necessary. While the eye-piece of the microscope main body 6 is being looked in, a finger approaches to the non-contact type switches 7a and 7b, and a motor for driving zooming and focusing mechanisms built in the microscope main body 6, or a motor for driving X and Y direction jogging mechanisms built in the XY jogging device 4, or a vertically driving motor built in a base 1 are operated, and the titled controller is fine-adjusted in the optimum state.
