PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the discussion and preparation at an early stage with respect to the remodeling and renewal of equipment, by estimating a usable limit of a turbine rotor by measuring the secular deterioration of the material quality thereof. CONSTITUTION:Pretreatment such as polishing processing is carried out so as to be capable of accurately perform various measurements at a position where the inner surface of a central hole is desired to be measured. Next, a creep cavity is observed and, if there is a cavity, replacement at the time of the next regular inspection is prepared. If there is no cavity, an ECT value and hardness are measured. A calibration curve coming to a comparing standard is formed from a test piece preliminarily formed under an acceleration test condition and one present in a region A is usable as it is and one present in a region B is again inspected at the next time. With respect to one present in a region C, disposal and replacement is discussed at the next time. By this method, a usable limit is estimated and the discussion and preparation with respect to the remodeling and renewal of equipment can be performed at an early stage.
