Moving element for internal combustion engine with reciprocating pistons in which each piston 2 slides in a cylinder 1 and is diametrically traversed by a piston pin 5 on which a connecting rod 3 is articulated for connection to a crank shaft and in which each piston 2, between a peripheral section 18 carrying sealing rings 10 and its end facing the connecting rod 3, comprises a skirt 14 slightly movable in relation to the peripheral section 11; the skirt 14 encloses a cylindrical section 13 of the piston 2 and comprises a radial seat 18 receiving a swivel joint 19 carried by a radial rod 20, fixed to the connecting rod 3 and offset in relation to the piston 2 in such a way that an oscillation of the connecting rod 3 produces a slight rotation of the skirt 14. This arrangement allows the skirt 14 to move in the cylinder 1, which prevents the film of oil between skirt 14 and cylinder 1 from breaking down when the direction of movement of the piston is reversed. <IMAGE>
