The invention relates to a decorative artificial flower whose petals 1 are movable and thus reproduce the movement 2 of opening and of closing of the corolla of a natural flower. This flower consists of petals 1 articulated on to a pistil 3 by a ring 4. The stem 21 supporting this assembly is hollow and permits the passage of a flexible wire 6 which drives each of the petals 1. This wire is connected to a crank fastened onto the shaft of a small electric motor. This motor is located inside the pot supporting the flower. <IMAGE>
