PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a head part of an optical displacement sensor by providing convergent lenses for converging the light from an optical fiber toward objects and reflecting the light, which is converged by said lenses and is reflected from the objects, by a concave reflecting surface member. CONSTITUTION:The light from a prescribed light source is introduced by the optical fiber 10 and is converged by the convergent lenses 11, 20. The light focused by said lenses is reflected by objects 51, 52, 53. The positions of the objects 51-53 can be detected according to the light signal from a fiber array 40 when the positions of the objects change. The positions of the objects 51-53 are judged not according to the intensity of the light but according to the positions on the array 40 and therefore there is not effect on the resultant displacement output even if the reflectivity of the objects changes.
