<p>Prepn. comprises mixing (A) coating contg. (a) metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid with (B) water-dispersed emulsion of organic solvent and applying (A) to a support. Solvent boils at 150-315 deg. and dissolves (a) in a solubility of at least 10. - (a) are, e.g., the Mg, Al, Ca, Ni or Zn salt of 3,5-di-t-butylsalicylic acid, 3,5-bis(alpha, alpha-dimethylbenzyl) salicylic acid, 3,5-di-t- octylsalicylic acid, etc. The solvent is pref. aromatic ester, aliphatic ester, biphenyl deriv., naphthalene deriv. biphenyl alkane, etc., e.g., methylamylacetate, 3-methyl biphenyl, monoisopropylnaphthalene, etc. Emulsion (B) is prepd. opt. with 0.1-5 pts. wt. emulsifier, e.g., soap, sodium alkylbenzene sulphonate, PVA etc. (A) is prepd. by dispersing (a) in water pref. with a dispersing agent and inorganic pigments to improve the developing ability. The pigments are, e.g., zinc oxide, magnesium hydroxide, talc, active clay, etc. A mixt. of (A) and (B) are mixed with binder and applied to a support. The binder is e.g., PVA, CMC, methyl cellulose, etc. The developing sheet reacts with colour formers, e.g., arylmethane series cpds., thiazine series, spiro series cpds., etc.</p> |
