PURPOSE:To improve the shock resistance of storage batteries installed in parallel by fitting the circular space of each storage battery into the annular spacer of an adjacent storage battery so as to maintain the distance between adjacent storage batteries constant. CONSTITUTION:An annular spacer 8 is fixed to the wall 7 of each of storage batteries 3, 3', 3''...3n installed in parallel on the bottom frame 2 of a stand 1. A circular spacer 10 having a diameter slightly shorter than the inner diameter of the annular spacer 8 is fixed to the wall 7' of each of the storage batteries 3, 3', 3''...3n facing the container wall 7. After a storage battery 3' is placed adjacent to a storage battery 3, the battery 3' is pushed toward the battery 3 to fit the spacer 10 of the battery 3 into the cylindrical hole 9 of the spacer 8 of the battery 3'. After that, the battery 3' is further pushed toward the battery 3 to bring the spacers 8 and 10 into pressure contact with each other. Due to the elasticity of the spacers 8 and 10, the distance between the batteries 3 and 3' is maintained constant thereby firmly and stably installing the batteries 3 and 3'. |
