PURPOSE:To obtain a humidity sensor having high sensitivity and high accuracy by constituting the humidity sensor of the saponified matter of a copolymer consisting essentially of (I) ethylene and (II) unsatd. carboxylic acid and/or the deriv. thereof. CONSTITUTION:The saponified matter of the ethylene copolymer consists substantially of 10-87mol%, more preferably 15-80mol% ethylene and 13-90mol%, more preferably 20-85mol% unsatd. carboxylic acid and/or the deriv. thereof. The unsatd. carboxylic acid and the deriv. thereof refer to the compd. having at least one unsatd. bond and carboxylic group which can be copolymerized with the ethylene in one molecule. The compd. is exemplified by various monoesters including an acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid and the esters thereof, etc. The humidity sensor which changes from 4 to 10 digits of electric resistance value with respect to 0-100% humidity change is obtd. |
