PURPOSE:To carry out one-side plating of broad, long-sized and thin metallic plates with high productivity by putting the plates one on top of the other so that the sides not to be plated contact with each other, sealing the edges, carrying out plating and removing the sealed parts. CONSTITUTION:Two metallic plates 1 of the same size are put one on top of the other so that the sides to be plated are positioned outward (stage 1). The edges are sealed by adhesion, welding or other method so as to prevent a plating soln. from entering the gap between the plates, and the resulting plate 3 is pretreated (stage 2). The plate 3 is plated in a plating tank 6 (stage 3). The plated plate is pulled up from the tank 6 and post-treated, and the sealed parts are removed, giving two plates 2 again (stage 4). The plates 2 are separated from each other (stage 5).
