<p>An individual portion of tobacco product, e.g. snuff, is pneumatically forced through a fill tube and injected in a paper tube formed of paper tape. A transverse seal portion allows the individual portion of product to be placed in the pre-formed, bottom sealed packet but not yet completely sealed paper tube. - As the tube continuously advances, the preceding seal and the bottom seal form a pouch or packet of carefully measured portion contained in it. Each packet is a link in the chain or string of packets. Each individually formed pouch is then severed and counted.</p> |
