Cosmetic compsn. for treatment of the skin comprises effective amts. of living cells (I) of conjunctive tissue in a suitable nutrient medium in which growth of (I) can occur. - Compsn. pref. contain 10 power2 - 10 power8 esp. 10 power4 -10 power8 (I)/ml, most of which are derived from their culture in the medium. Prefd. (I) are fibroblasts. Prefd. compsns. are associated with a flat support (II) having an adhesive-coated periphery and covered with an H2O-insol. film (to allow attachment to the skin). Pref. (II) (esp. in spongy form) include collagenic materials, polysaccharides, polyvinyl-pyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol, cellulose, cellulose acetate, or a polyvinyl-pyrrolidone/vinl acetate copolymer.
