PURPOSE:To facilitate production of a solid electrolyte which can be easily molded by using a heteropoly-acid containing carbon as the hetero atom as the main component. CONSTITUTION:The solid electrolyte of this invention is principally composed of heteropoly tungstic acid or heteropolymolybdenic acid containing carbon as the hetero atom. For example, 100ml of 15% aqueous H2O2 solution is added to 16g of tungsten carbide powder (WC) and then after the amount of gas generation reduces 5ml of 3% H2O2 is added. The above operation is repeated five times and then the resulting mixture is left at room temperature to dissolve WC thereby preparing a pale-yellow acidic solution. Next, after soot-like carbon in the solution is filtered off, excess H2O2 contained in the solution is decomposed by the use of a platinized platinum net. The thus obtained original solution for a solid electrolyte is then put in a glass case having a flat bottom and heated until immediately before the solution is solidified. After that, the almost solidified solution is left at room temperature for at least 24hr, thereby obtaining a glass-like flat plate of a heteropoly-acid. |
