发明名称 Electronic security system using random number generator
摘要 <p>The lock system, for e.g. a door, generates a random number when a start pulses is received triggered either by the key or by the lock. The number is sent to the key and both key and lock execute the same arithmetic operation using the same random number. Only a given part of the result of the arithmetic operation is sent to the lock and is there compared with the same part of the result produced by the arithmetic operation in the lock. - Only when the two compared parts agree is a pulse generated that will open the lock. Several random numbers may be generated at the lock (or key) and sent to the key (or lock) for storing prior to incorporating in the arithmetic operation. The advantage lies in a large number of possible variations with keys difficult to copy. To increase the number of variations and to inhibit the breaking of the code, the latter is generated in two stages in that the input magnitudes for the code are retrieved from a collection of random numbers radnomly generated in each unit. - In the first stage of the coding process, the input magnitudes are subjected to computation according to a definite algorithm. In the second stage, only a fragment of the computation result is used and arranged according to a definite rule or formula to serve as output magnitudes for a comparator where the final arrangement of the fragments formed in respective units is tested as to mutual agreement. In the case of an agreement, a switching pulse is generated which activates bolt control mechanism in the locking unit.</p>
