PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent semiconductor storage device with high circuit operation reliability and less power consumption by transferring a data between an amplifier circuit and an I/O buffer via a clocked inverter and using a signal synchronously with a control signal of an amplifier circuit so as to control the clocked inverter. CONSTITUTION:An output terminal of an amplifier circuit is connected to a gate of the clocked inverter of the next stage and an output terminal of the clocked inverter is connected to a gate of the I/O buffer of the next stage, and other gate pair of the clocked inverter is connected to opposite signal pairs synchronously with an amplified control signal. Then the clocked inverter is set at the operation of the amplifier circuit, that is, during the amplification period only, the amplified waveform subject to waveform shaping is transmitted to the gate of the I/O buffer. Thus, no power consumption is used in the clocked inverter provided as a data transfer buffer at the outside of the amplification period, e.g., at power consumption represented as the precharge period.
