Method of erecting workshop and-or adjoining office - uses walls of insulation between steel plates, flat insulated steel plate roof and sectional load transfer members connecting roof to walls

The method is for erecting a building such as a workshop and/or adjoining office. It comprises a concrete floor, walls (12) consisting of sandwich panels and a flat roof (10) steel plate (8) and insulating blanket (9). No framework is used, the walls and roof being connected via load bearing sectional members (13) consisting of bent and/or point-welded e.g. 3-4 mm thick steel plate material or, where load permits, of extruded aluminium sections. The floor space of the individual units is e.g. 10 x 10, 12 x 12, 16 x 16 or 20 x 20 m. The workshop has roof lights only and one access door. The office has a lower roof, windows and door.
