PURPOSE:To obtain a frequency multiple circuit whose operating frequency band is broad by converting a basic frequency into four signals with different phase, frequency-multiplying the converted signals respectively and combining them in phase. CONSTITUTION:A signal Vin with a basic frequency inputted from an input terminal 1 is converted into four kinds of signals with same amplitude and relation of phases as phi1-phi4 by an equal power 4-phase distributor 7 and the result is inputted respectively to a unit frequency multiplier 3. The multiplier 3 generates a distortion wave including a high frequency component of each input signal and the result is inputted to a 4-input in-phase combiner 8. The combiner 8 combines outputs of four sets of the multipliers 3 in phase and outputs the result to an output terminal 6. The relation of phase of the four kinds of signals is selected as phi1=0, phi2=pi/4, phi3=pi and phi4=5pi/4, or phi1=0, phi2=pi/4, phi3=pi and phi4=3pi/2. Thus, a spurious harmonic is eliminated to consti tute a frequency multiple circuit having a wide operating frequency band in this way.
