PURPOSE:To facilitate the fitting or removal from a wiper pivot by assembling a wiper arm, a gear mechanism, and a link mechanism in a housing as a unit and fitting or removing the housing from the wiper pivot. CONSTITUTION:A wiper arm drive mechanism 15 is arranged in a housing 1 and is constituted with a gear mechanism 16 and a link mechanism 17. When the housing 1 is swayed in one body with a wiper arm 10 by the rotation of a wiper pivot 7, the driven gear 16b of the gear mechanism 16 is rolled on the tooth face of a stationary gear 16a. The rotary movement of this driven gear 16b is converted into the reciprocal movement of the wiper arm 10, and the wiper arm 10 is expanded and shrunk during its sway process. |
