PURPOSE:To change a radio band received depending on a location placed with a radio set by providing a scale plate and a tuning variable resistor at each radio band to each face of a polygonal prism and providing a band switch turning on/off a power supply at each radio band to a face different from the face of radio bands. CONSTITUTION:When the radio set is placed on a horizontal face at a location possible for an FM band, an FM band switch 10 is turned on, the FM band is in received state, an FM broadcast is received by adjusting an FM tuning variable resistor 4 while observing the FM scale plate 5 and an FM sound volume 3 adjusts properly the sound volume from a speaker 6. In replacing the radio set to a position at which an MW band is viewed, an MW band changeover switch 15 is turned on while being contacting a horizontal face, an MW band is received and a desired broadcast on the MW band is listened to the same as the FM band. The band switch turning on/off the power supply of each radio band is activated by placing the receiver on a horizontal face, and the activated radio band differs from the placed face, then it is not required to change over the band changeover switch when the radio band is changed. |
