In a rotary table type injection moulding machine in which moulds (10) (Figs. 1, 2, not shown)arebroughtinturn into and out of injection, cooling and unloading stations, each mould is provided with internal locking means operated by actuating elements fixed to the frame of the machine. The mould parts 31, 32 (Fig. 3) are locked together by tie-rods 33 having notches 36 engaged by arms 38, (39) on cam-shafts (34, 35), Figs. 4, 5 (not shown). The shafts (34, 35) are coupled by plates (41, 42) and plungers 43 to a ring 44 (Fig. 9) which is engaged at the unloading station by dogs 91, 92 operated by cylinders 95, 96. Core members 73 (Figs. 6, 9) are advanced and retracted by means of a rotatable bush 67 having camtracks (71, 72), Fig. 7 (not shown), engaged by rollers 74 carried by the core member 73. The bushes 67 are rotated by means of racks 65 actuated by cylinders 61 ... 64 (Fig. 9). A kneading action can be imparted to the injected material by moving the core members 73 to and fro relatively to the mould 31, 32 by means of cylinders (84 ... 87), Fig. 8 (not shown). Ejection of the moulded article is effected by a mandrel 101 (Fig. 9) introduced through the mould sprue 46. A slide member 48 (Fig. 3) for closing the sprue is opened at the unloading station. Pressure on the injected material during cooling is maintained by a bush 75 (Fig. 6) under the bias of disc springs 76 and adjustable by means of a screw 78.</p> |
