A heat-insulated pipe for oil production is specified, which comprises an inner steel pipe and a heat-insulating sheath having a cell structure, surrounding the said inner pipe. The sheath forms a heat-resistant supporting element which is divided in the longitudinal direction of the pipe to form hollow spaces divided off from one another, which if appropriate are filled with a material of low thermal conductivity. The pipe can be wound up onto a drum without the sheath tearing.
