<p>PURPOSE:To achieve a higher working efficiency as well as yields, by utilizing a reflection difference of heterogenous metal thin film surfaces with a semi-transparent member made to see through as arranged close to or in contact with the heterogenous metal thin film surfaces to enable the identification of the type of the heterogeneous metal thin films with naked eyes, namely, without destruction thereof. CONSTITUTION:The rims of a semi-transparent member 3 and a heterogenous metal thin film samples 4 and 5 are grasped with a grasping section 13 of a holding member 6 and a grasping piece 11 of a frame body 2 and the grasping section 13 is mounted on the frame body 2 by a means such as screw so that the semi-transparent member 3 is spread over the frame body 2 while the heterogenous metal thin film samples 4 and 5 are arranged close to or in contact with the back side thereof3. The identification device 1 is placed on a magnetic recording medium 14 to be identified and the heterogeneous metal thin film samples 4 and 5 are set in parallel with heterogenous metal thin film 15 and 16 of the magnetic recording medium 14. Then, the semi-transparent member 3 is made to see through under a white light and utilizing reflection difference between the metal thin film surfaces 15 and 16, it is compared with the reflection difference between the heterogenous metal thin film samples 4 and 5 by naked eyes 18 to enable the identification of the type of the metal thin films 15 and 16.</p> |
