A rapid-clamping device (11) with ramps or cams (12) in the form of wedges or screws is used for compressing a stack of insulating pieces (6), busbar ends (2) and connecting pieces (7, 8). Pressure plates (5, 10) have pressure pieces (13) which are arranged on both sides of the bolt axis of a clamping bolt (3), and the connecting pieces (7, 8) for the busbar ends are constructed with U-shaped expansion loops (7a, 8a), which are located between the busbar ends, so that length changes in the busbars (2) as a result of thermal influences are absorbed without friction, and hence without metallic wear between the busbar ends and the contact parts of the connecting pieces.
