A furniture hinge (10), consisting of a hinge pot (11), of a hinge arm (12) connected to the latter in an articulated manner and of a mounting plate (13), is to be designed in such a way that the hinge arm (12) can no longer inadvertently come loose from the mounting plate (13) when the shank of a fastening screw (14) is brought into the region of a long hole (15) of the hinge arm (12). For this purpose, there are provided in the transitional region between the said long hole (15) and an enlarged passage orifice (16), which has a larger cross-section than the head of the fastening screw (14), resilient portions (17) which allow the shank of the fastening screw (14) to be introduced into the long hole (15) only with some effort. Conversely, moving the shank of the fastening screw (14) out of the region of the long hole (15) likewise requires some effort again, so that an inadvertent separation of the hinge arm (12) and the mounting plate (13) is effectively prevented, even when the fastening screw (14) is not yet tightened. <IMAGE>
