<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the torque variation and oscillation from being transmitted to a steering wheel by dividing an input section at the steering wheel side rather than a torque detection means and inserting an elastic means in this division section. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 4 is divided into a first shaft 5 and a cylindrical second shaft 6 and a steering wheel adheres to the outer end side of the first shaft 5. A small diameter section formed at the inner side of the first shaft 5 is idly fit in a hole provided at the inner end side of the second shaft 6. A rubber bush 14 for preventing oscillation from being transmitted is inserted in this engagement section and the first and second shafts 5 and 6 are connected by this rubber bush 14. This rubber bush 14 consists of an inner cone 14a and an outer cone 14b made of metal and an elastic member 14c inserted between both. The inner cone 14a adheres to the first shaft 5 and the outer cone 14b adheres to the second shaft 6.</p> |
