PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably power consumption by cutting off a current fed to an oscillating section having large power consumption during the standby time until the next doe is outputted in the oscillator generating repetitively a modulated signal with a predetermined word length of code. CONSTITUTION:A code with a predetermined word length is inputted to an oscillating circuit 3 from a signal generating circuit 2 based on a signal inputted from an input device 1. Then the code is inputted also to a control circuit 7 at the same time. When a signal signifying the head of code is inputted, the control circuit 7 activates a timer 6 to throw a switch 5. Thus, a current flows from a power supply circuit 4 to the oscillating section 3A, carrier wave modulated by the code, that is, the modulated signal is transmitted in radio to a remote location while being outputted from the oscillation circuit 3. The time of the timer 6 is set to a degree a little longer than one word length and when codes are inputted consecutively, a current flows to the oscillating section 3A during that time and when the next code is not inputted for the set time, the switch 5 is cut off and no current flows from the power supply circuit 4 to the oscillating section 3A. As a result, the oscillator 3A is not activated and the output of the carrier wave is stopped.
