To eliminate or prevent the formation of scale and corrosion a high voltage electric field and a high intensity magnetic field are generated during a short period of time. The device comprises a treatment chamber (1) arranged between two condensor plates (4, 5), a liquid flowing through the chamber. Furthermore, the device has an oscillating circuit coil (6, 7) of which the magnetic field traverses the chamber (1) and a switch (16) which connects during short time intervals the coil to the circuit. |
