The control device contains a grooved cam disc (2) driven by the drive shaft of the dobby, a frame (1) pivoted to and fro by the grooved cam disc (2), two one-armed levers (9, 9') which can be actuated alternately by the frame, two forks (12, 12') for controlling the shedding mechanism (17-19, 17'-19'), and two electromagnets (11, 11') with armatures (10, 10') which are energised by an electrical circuit, in order to bring the armatures (10, 10') into and out of engagement with the forks (12, 12'). <IMAGE>
