Rotting reactor for recovering heat during microbial decomposition of organic material

The rotting reactor comprises a portable container (1) which is of cylindrical design and rotatable. The container (1) is supported by support rollers (3). Arranged coaxially in the container (1) are e.g. at given spacings water-bearing double-walled cylindrical heat exchangers (7, 8) which can be in direct contact with the material to be rotted. As a result, an intimate contact of the rotting material with the heat-exchanger surface can be achieved. By means of the rotatable arrangement of the container (1), the latter can be rotated as a whole during operation and the energy expenditure can be reduced considerably. The rotting reactor is envisaged for recovering heat which arises during the microbial decomposition of organic substances in the reactor.
